First off,  I am a bad friend and didn't wish Clara a Happy Birthday on the 4th.  I am so sorry Clara, I hope you had a wonderful day!!!


And, my husband got home today!! Kind of why I didn't get on to wish Clara a Happy B-Day,  madly trying to get ready, as we only had a little of a weeks notice.... but he is home safe and sound. :D

 I have been at my new job three weeks today.  It is going very well.  I am now on the phones, learning things from the 'ground up'.  This company has a lot of their own programs, so that has made it hard to learn (or act like I know) the system. But the people I work with are wonderful. They are friendly and fun; always joking around and great to be around.  What a fresh breathe of a air.

My lovely car is in the shop again.  I just got the thing back three weeks ago, and I had to have it towed today.  I was two hours late for work, waiting for the truck to come save me.  I was on my way in to work, and there was a huge black cloud coming out from under the thing.  Couldn't even see the car behind me that I knew was there... 

I am going to go get a new one, regardless of what my husband wants. I can't keep up with this car and the stress it is causing me. I did take the truck today, but guess what??? It is too tall for the garage, and so I had to run down and move the thing every two hours. NOT the impression I want to have at this job.  I was in tears most of the day.

But at least I have a job that can help me afford a new car... :D

Let the dancing begin! I start on Monday and they offered me more than I was hoping for.  I am so excited I can hardly sit still!

I think the interview went welll.  I felt comfortable and even talked gadgets with one of the managers. lol  I was hoping to hear something in the afternoon, since the recruiter said he would but I didn't.  But the guy who recommended me for the job said they all really liked me. :D  So hopefully....

Thank you all for the support!  I am hoping getting this job will take some of the stress out of my life. I just can't continue working 50 or 60 weeks and be full time parent. I don't know how single people do it. LOL

Has anyone tried the new Google maps?? I needed to see how to get to the place and now they have pictures from your front door right up to the place. It was a little freaky to see my porch. LOL  And not just an aerial view, right down on the street -- very weird!!!

New Dr. Who tonight and I can't wait!!

Finally I may have some good news. I have a job interview Friday. Maybe, just maybe I can get out of the hell hole that I am in now. Cross your fingers, light a candle, pray... :D

 Do you ever get to the point where you are so tired and overwhelmed that even the simplest of tasks are hard? I am reading all the entries all my friends are making here and listening to voice messages but I just don't have the energy to respond.  I have been doing so much complaining lately, I figured everyone would be grateful. LOL

Kids are gone for two weeks so it is just me and a houseful of animals...

Still have no idea when I will get to head to parts east. I am really afraid by the time He finds out the dates, the plane tickets are going to high for me to go... But He is having a good time in Kosovo and wants me to go out and buy cheap toys for the local kids as the toys are a big hit with them.

I am taking a test for Network + tomorrow. So I guess I should go to studying... yuk.

So today is my 14th wedding anv. Kind of boring, as I had to drive my husband back to his pick-up point yesterday and he won't be back till July of '09. But hopefully, the girls and I will be able to get over to Europe this fall.


No news on the job front. Still have the same one, and still looiking but with the economy as it is, no one is really hiring. Darn it.

I am going to win the mother of the year award this year. :-D  I just got 4 tickets to My Chemical Romance for their stop here on May 3rd. Which my oldest has no idea of. LOL   I can't wait to see her face... *dances

Have to say the good out weighed the bad, even the very bad from 2007. I survived the 'melt down' and learned some very valuable lessons about people and how I respond to them and walked away with friends that really matter. We didn't have any family crisises this year -- no deaths (for the first year in a decade), no huge debts or surgeries. :D

I finished my certs and found a job; so really I am hoping for a very calm 2008. Yes, we are facing several upsets, but I am thinking I am at a place within myself that I will be able to handle them. And if not, there is a nice dark space under my bed (or more meds). LOL

It is official. My husband will be leaving in March for Kosovo. For 18 months. This will take time for us all to get used to some big changes. 

My in-laws are heading back to Colorado tomorrow. Hopefully the weather won't get worse and they don't have any problems getting home. 

And I was informed today that my navitity set is not PC... no moor wiseman, and Mary and Joseph are too white... LOL I have had that set for 15 years and now it is 'bothering' my mother in law...

I will be in Chicago for the weekend to see the Star Wars exhibit. I can't wait for the distraction! lol

I did it!! I am now a Microsoft Certified Database Administrator!!!! :D  I passed my last cert test today with a 820 out of 900.

And I have been offered an internship until the boss can talk corporate into hiring me. :D They really want me to work.  And while working as an intern, I can do further certs for free. :D

It is amazing what a haircut and getting your nails done does for your self worth. LOL
